This Focus Collection, associated with PowerMEMS+ 2026, will highlight recent advances in micro- and nanoscale technologies for power and energy generation, conversion, storage and management. Topics include energy harvesting from diverse sources, micro energy storage, thermal and chemical technologies, wireless power transfer, power management, actuation and micro-propulsion, low-power sensors and systems, and enabling materials, fabrication, integration and packaging technologies.

Building on the long-standing relationship between the Journal of Micromechanics and Microengineeringand PowerMEMS, the collection aims to showcase advances from fundamental technologies to integrated systems and practical applications.
